We have these high surf warning signs here in Hawaii, particularly here on the north shore where the surf gets truly enormous. I happened to see a man working in a hole in the road in Honolulu and the wording from his sign, although talking about holes in the road, actually reads like it's talking about surfing, so I photographed it and added the words to the high surf warning sign that I photographed at Pipeline, resulting in a sign that reads like it's all about surf culture. Cowabunga!
